Tara Boyd (formerly Bertone) has worked with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum
Disorders (ASD) in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs since 1996.

She has a bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from the University of Nevada Reno, and a master’s degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Minnesota. After graduating with her master’s
In 2001, she started her career as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) providing one-on-
one intervention, in addition to social-communication groups for children with ASD.

Over the last 20+ years, Tara has been a behavior therapist, speech-language pathologist and private consultant in a wide variety of autism programs throughout the U.S. and UK. These experiences have given her the opportunity to work with hundreds of children on the autism spectrum in multidisciplinary rehab clinics, as well as Verbal Behavior (VB) and traditional applied behavioral analysis programs. She has also had the great fortune to give presentations and provide training throughout the U.S. and Europe ranging from conferences to small workshops with therapists, parents, administrators and educators involved in the treatment and care of children diagnosed with autism.

In 2005, Tara founded Autism Matters, a multidisciplinary clinic dedicated to children with autism and their families. The program provided speech-language therapy, occupational therapy and ABA therapy in Minneapolis area. She built to two locations employing 50+ employees, including speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists and board certified behavior analysts.

In 2016, Tara sold Autism Matters to a local healthcare company, relocated full time to the Phoenix area and founded Scottsdale Autism Services DBA Ally Pediatric Therapy.

She is licensed through Arizona Department of Health Services and holds a Certificate of
Clinical Competency (CCC) through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
